Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics
Figure Skating

Post-Ice Dance (Compulsory Dance, CD) UPDATE

This time zone system's driving me nuts!!!

Vancouver, CANADA: UTC/GMT -8.00
Irbid, JORDAN: UTC/GMT +2.00
Shah Alam, MALAYSIA: UTC/GMT +8.00

As I was watching my favorite couple, Virtue/Moir, on ice...a very cool thought crossed my mind; "WTF...they're HOME DANCING!" Damn, I'm definitely sure no other Winter Olympics can ever top 2010's. *unless someone's willing to buy me a flight ticket to London's 2012 Winter Olympics that is*

The ISU's World Championships (2007-'08/2008-'09) are the only platforms I've ever actually watched Virtue/Moir compete, but on TV reruns *I was still stuck in boarding school in '07 and I somehow missed it in '08*...so it wasn't as intense as what I've experienced just now. The reason why I was practically hyperventilating as I watched was because I didn't Google the results beforehand, and that's because...THERE WEREN'T ANY! I saw it LIVE! Gobsmacked~!! *talk about syok sendiri*

Now back to calculating time zones:

Ice Dance - Compulsory Dance started at 1645 hours Canadian-time (Ct) so I stayed up till 0245 hours Jordan-time (Jt). If I were in Malaysia, I wouldn't have to stay up at all because it would've been 0845 hours Malaysian-time (Mt)...so yeah, I have a friggin' MIGRAINE right now! *pills pills pills pills PILLS!!!*

Let's cut the crap and have a look at the results shall we:

*it blatantly makes sense that you have to click it to see it blinder, bespoken for you*

Blatantly there's not much to comment on CD. Everybody was doing what they're supposed to *like not falling on a step sequence the Agosto pair from the States did a few seasons ago*; flow with the rhythm and tempo...and this year's to Tango Romantica if I heard right *correct me if I'm wrong*. The Tessa and Scott were sensational but the Shabalin pair from the Russian Fed. made a pretty strong statement. Well, everybody knows that V/M do best in Original and Free Dance...can't wait!!! wwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...........................

Why am I a fan of Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir you ask? *I know you didn't but after reading this you did, in your head...so I win* Press [>] and thou shall see...

  1. I definitely look forward to figure skating during the Winter Olympics. I'm from Britain.....also bummed about the huge time difference, more action in the early hours of the morning....depending on Beeb for highlights because I'm most probably going to be in bed when it's on Live!
