Lecture notes are literally holy references for medical students here in JUST. We have self-proclaimed apostles with audio-taped playbacks of each lecture; they listen, have those revelations written down and published for the enlightenment of humanity, ultimately preparing them for the Day of Judgment.
Either it was divine or their earthly disciples, someone better fess up for screwing with my studying mood!
e.g.
Sheets of Revelations; CVS: Physiology; Lecture: organization of CVS

How is the heart pumping and why is it pumping?
*okay cool, I'm going to know how the heart pumps and why*
We can see the structure of the heart, here's the tricuspid valve (refer to the picture), bicuspid valve, the papillary muscles and the chordae tendineae.
the chordae tendineae prevent the valve from bulging towards the atrial side. (like umbrella , when you have high wind it goes up and the thing that prevent it from going up is metal wires which work like the chordae tendineae )
*what the fish! asal tiba-tiba wayar payung pulak ni? I know how they work la! What I don't know is how the heart pumps and why!*
The atrioventricular valves are between the left atrium and ventricle, and between the right atrium and ventricle, but the semi-lunar valves are the aortic and pulmonary valves.
*great, more crap...it's a good thing that I know what and where AV and SL valves are because even Mahatma Ghandi yang keling tu pun wouldn't understand this sentence*
The direction of the blood in the left side is :
left atrium > left ventricle > aortic valve > systemic circulation.
left atrium > left ventricle > aortic valve > systemic circulation.
*okay...so I'm gonna turn the page now, even though I'm not done with this one, to find out how the heart pumps and why*

Now cardiac muscle :
the heart is composed of 3 types of fibers :
1. atrial fibers: (contractile, muscles )
2. ventricular fibers: (contractile, muscles)
3. conductive fibers:(purkinje fiber)

*kejap, kejap...aku tengah baca physiology ke anatomy???*
I really appreciate Hayat Group's efforts but it fucks me up, and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one complaining; ever heard of proofreading? Oh come on! Who's the monkey editor responsible for running this group?
Do you see how frustrating this is? I'm way pass spelling mistakes and grammar but I just can't take how facts are all mashed up like this because it's definitely not making life any easier. Divine revelation my ass, if only I could murtad from this and convert to medical textbooks instead; instilled fear for the Day of Judgment is what's stopping me, for exam questions come from lecture notes. I think JUST is the only medical school that discreetly declares medical textbooks as "secondary source".
What I'm trying to say is that if you want to do something, have the decency to do it properly la bro. We don't need a Hayat Group pun if the doctors were to clearly outline the syllabus in reference to actual medical textbooks. Spare us from having to go through this shit-wreck, please!!!

ReplyDeleteWell, I f*ckin hate the system of JUST's med school as much as you do, but a smart person adapts to the circumstance around him, just be patient.
I think you should read those sheets of revelations, but in the same time refer to the books.
